ArcTig Welding
Welded Assembly-Ready Boom Structures, Beam-Like Components, and Rotational Parts
We are pioneers in ArcTig welding in Finland. Our factory houses two FMS production cells dedicated to ArcTig welding. In these cells, we manufacture various assembly-ready boom structures and rotational parts of different lengths, which are needed in various work and forestry machines, loaders, and cranes.
The ArcTig cells are fully automated and robotic. The robots in these cells handle material processing, tool changes, and fixtures using the DIM method. It is also possible to perform plasma cutting and linishing on beam-like components in these cells.
The most significant advantage of ArcTig welding is the ability to weld without the need for welding bevels and root supports. This method significantly reduces the amount of pre- and post-processing required. The weld seam is smaller, and the visual quality and penetration are better. ArcTig welding also allows for better control of heat input, reducing the structural changes and thermal expansion of the steel. This method also consumes less energy than traditional manufacturing methods.
Our FMS-based production significantly speeds up and enhances the manufacturing process and turn-around time, reducing delays and potential quality issues associated with moving products between stages.
If needed, the welded products are wet painted in our own factory. Additionally, we have an extensive partner network through which we can provide high-quality machining (linkki), coating, or heat treatment according to customer requirements. After surface treatment, we assemble and pre-equip the products and deliver them directly to the customer’s assembly line.
